Updates for Turn of the Leaf
progress is good!

the 'hero buildings' are all finalized in their models, awaiting textures and then the main buildings of Fridway will be done. futher background buildings are being worked on right now,and are planned to use proceduralism and packed geometry to have optimized space for the render farm

other models i have done so far are the vending machine, cell tower and 3 different trash bags with low poly models for background shots
the modeling fot the trash bags was by far the most creative modeling ive had to do on this project.

using a large structure, i simulated primitives falling into the structure to reenact trash falling and forming a pile

once the trash is in a pile to my liking, i end the physics simulation and merge all used trash pieces. then, using a shrinkwrap modifier on a large cube I create the rudimentary bag and continue onwards.
beyond the 3d modeling, i have also created more graphic designs for populating the city



As for scheduleing, we are at a good pace. More animators have joined to help out for character animations, more 3d modelers have joined to help, and the city nears completion. looking ahead, i plan to finish all high poly city assets in the next few weeks, and eaily finish all garden assets 1-2 weeks after that. then, we can continue back up on any hero buildings needing to be done and checking in with VI over what i should do next
