mocap test for Skye's helmet removal was monday night. Vi's test proved successful, removing the mocap helmet as Skye's helmet and compositing a real life head may be how we accomplish it in the future.

I am nearing completion with the topology for Skye's apartment as well. Blender and Maya do not like working nicely together, apparently, so thats been the biggest roadblock we are overcoming. Blender bevels add tris to the corners, and mayas soft mesh view tool freaks out when it sees that

with this knowledge i am aiming to try out different models in maya. the NO BEVEL model is the almost finished model, just needing retopology and beveling, and the SOME BEVEL model is finished, just needing optimization and maybe more modeling if need be.
